Main Street in Brook (44 KB)

The village of Brook has one main street (about a mile long) with St. Mary's Church at one end and the The Honest Miller Pub at the other, and one side street (Troy Town Lane).

The houses were well-kept and typically looked like this one.

The Brook (44 KB) We walked along, noticing the brook from which the village possibly gets its name.

The Honest Miller was the pub at the other end of the village with a children’s play fort in the side yard.

View of The Honest Miller from the north (52 KB) It was a rambling building that had been added on to several times.

We had a very good lunch in the dining room, although we could just as easily have eaten at the bar.
